We’re very sorry, this Digital World has encountered a problem. It calls itself the Funnyman. It’s not very funny though. In fact it’s screwing everything up.

Five children were called upon to save the world from complete insanity. Five Digimon were called upon to aid them in their quest.

But something went wrong.

Really, horribly wrong.

Stuck with huge slabs of metal stapled to their bodies, they try to avoid scrappers, chimeras and a complete prick who calls himself Motimon the Impenetrable.

And to make things worse, their partners are nowhere to be found.

Cities are floating, villains are escaping from the Dark Area, and the whole world is being overrun by arseholes.

Well, aren’t we all having such a good time…

Digimon Error 404 is a half-series taking place one year after the end of Inferno, following the misadventures of a group of stroppy teenagers as they try and fix a world gone haywire.

The story is intended to be standalone, aside from a few small in-jokes/references to previous stories. You don't have to have read Inferno or Playing with Matches to understand what's going on. If you do, I've done something wrong and I apologise.

The story is rated a soft R (15+) for moderate violence, mild innuendo and a very liberal use of the F word. Because the world is very gosh-darned weird at the moment.

Step forth for a mildly insane and only slightly traumatic foray into the Ascending universe once more. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I've loved writing it.
