It has been a year since the events of Digimon Inferno in the human world, and while much of the world witnessed the intrusion and subsequent defeat of Nithhogg, the existence of the alternative world is still relatively hidden. Life has moved on with only rumours and hearsay being thrown around, along with the presence of an unknown facility somewhere in the south of England. That's another story though.

Due to the natural time difference, the Digital World itself has advanced approximately four years since the great burning. The continents have resettled, and the denizens of the old world and the new world have come together in new and interesting communities. Life goes on. Life is better once again.

At least...that's the theory. But the Funnyman has taken control and now the nice new neat Digital World is being shaken about like the toybox of a hyperactive toddler.

Once again, it's all one great big mess.

  • The Cardiff Digital Anomaly Research Institute - Main government-funded hub through which the terrible adults (re: scientists) conduct their observations of the Digital World, and try their very hardest in most areas. Bit of a dump. No budget to speak of. Name needs work. Not part of the Digital World
  • Flying City - A city that has forgotten how gravity works. There are about four in this particular region. In general a nice place to live aside from the constant threat of falling to one's death. Or into the endless abyss. That and general overpopulation.
  • The Catacombs - An underground area of red rock and confined fiery energy, kind of hard to pinpoint on a map. Far too close to the Dark Area for anyone's comfort.
  • The Dark Area - An ancient unchanging area of the Digital World which, as the name suggests, is very dark. Used as a prison for the very worst Digital entities, from which there is no escape, except for the many times in which members have escaped. Still, it keeps them out the way most days. Soupy consistency, which occasionally leaks out into pockets in the surface world, known as the Dark Ocean.
  • Floating Ocean - The Funnyman has a bit of a theme going on it seems with big biomes flying when they shouldn't be. Hangs directly beneath the core, and connected to several floating islands via jetstreams. Quite pretty if baffling.
  • The Omega Marina - The head of a huge fleet on the floating ocean, flawlessly governed by Motimon the Impenetrable. Vast, picturesque and remarkably well-constructed for something that's only been around for a few weeks.
  • Mysterious Jungle - A rather unassuming satelllite of land close to the Digital core. Seems lush and like it should be full of life, but strangely lacking in Digimon. Very overrun with what appear to be creepers, though they have the tendency of moving when one isn't looking.
  • The Digital Core - I don't know what's going on in here. Only Aardmon does, and she's being very unhelpful.
